7 Building Your Team

Benefits of a team?

Sometimes when people get into team building, they think bigger teams are better.

Such thinking is understandable - when two teams are playing against each other, and one has an extra player, they often obtain a distinct advantage.

However, if that extra player is not really a part of the team, for example, just someone standing on the field, then the benefit of an extra person provides no additional leverage.

Therefore, when putting together your team, the first step is to make sure all team members are team players, and want to play.

From there you can look at building the size of your team.

When selecting your team members - remember the five key ingredients - common purpose, open and honest communication, trust, diversity and fun.
